Entries now open for Press Awards for 2015

Entries are now open for the Society of Editors National Press Awards for 2015 – the ‘Oscars’ for UK Press. The Awards will celebrate the best of British national journalism during 2015.

Entries can be made for work published in print, website, online, mobile, video, audio or any other news delivery format in any UK national newspaper or any news website or platform covering UK national news during 2015.

The closing date for entries is Friday 8 January 2016, allowing time for even the very last stories of the year to be included in submissions. A shortlist will be announced in February 2016.

Early entries are encouraged and these can be added to from any submissions from the last few days of the year.  Dedicated staff will be available to assist with both online and telephone support ahead of the Christmas break.  During the period 24 December to January 2016 enquiries will be dealt with via email only.

The Press Awards, which next year will culminate with a glittering gala dinner at the London Hilton, Park Lane Hotel on Tuesday 22 March 2016, are organised on behalf of the industry by the Society of Editors. Enquiries with regards to table bookings can be made online from today.

The awards are generously sponsored by Camelot which has supported the Society of Editors since 2001 alongside EY, the Wellcome Trust, Gorkana, JTI, Wiggin, Luther Pendragon, Google, BT and PCS. The awards are also supported by the Journalists' Charity and the British Journalism Review.
